Today, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Disability Care and Rehabilitation Fund was held in Sana'a, chaired by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Samir Bajgahla.

During the meeting, several issues related to the council's work, responsibilities, and functions were discussed, along with its significant role for many persons with disabilities supported by associations through various rehabilitation programs.

The meeting heard various opinions and proposals regarding the council's management, policies, and future work programs, particularly concerning support for associations and the disbursement of their financial allocations needed for operational activities and program implementation, in accordance with the established regulations and guidelines.

The council emphasized the importance of supporting and empowering associations to fulfill their roles in serving persons with disabilities, contributing to making their members active and productive participants in society.

The meeting also approved a request from the chairman of the fund's board, which included a review and verification of the fund's financial status to ensure coverage of the associations' allocations according to the specified regulations and criteria, with a report to be presented at the next meeting scheduled for next Saturday.
