Disability Care Fund - Al Hudaydah

Today, the Deputy Governor of Al Hudaydah for Services Affairs, Mohammed Suleiman Halisi, launched the distribution of wheelchairs for 250 individuals with disabilities, funded by the Disability Care and Rehabilitation Fund.

During the launch event at the Fund's branch office in the province, Deputy Governor Halisi listened to a presentation from the branch director, Walid Al-Shawafi, regarding the efforts made to care for individuals with disabilities and the challenges faced amidst the ongoing aggression and blockade affecting the country.

The Deputy Governor also reviewed the situation of individuals with disabilities and the needs of the Fund's branch to enhance its role in meeting the requirements of more than 2,000 individuals with disabilities in Al Hudaydah. He listened to the concerns and aspirations of some of these individuals.

He praised the leadership of the Fund and the efforts exerted to provide necessary resources within the available capabilities, emphasizing that the local authority is keen to coordinate efforts to support the needs and care of individuals with disabilities and to facilitate the Fund's activities.

Deputy Governor Halisi called on relevant authorities and benefactors to take the initiative to support this vulnerable group, which requires care and attention to alleviate the suffering of individuals with disabilities, ease their mobility, and improve their health conditions.

In turn, the director of the Disability Care and Rehabilitation Fund branch, Al-Shawafi, highlighted the importance of meeting the needs of individuals with disabilities amidst the difficult circumstances resulting from the ongoing aggression and blockade, which have impacted the level of services and care provided to this group that urgently needs support and cooperation from all.
